Ray Farrell returns to Camp Turk as Director for the 2011 season.  Ray served several roles in his previous tenure at Camp Turk.  During the summers of 2002-2005, Ray was our Program Director, Assistant Director, and Director.  For the past eight summers, he has worked at both sleep away camps and day camps.  He is currently a Physical Education teacher and coach in Tarrytown, NY, and has been in education for 13 years.  Ray loves working with children and teaching them various sport skills, but most of all, teaching them skills they can use for life. Ray and his wife, Mary, have been married for six years, and have a two children.

 

 

I am Ben Johns, 20, from Warminster, Wiltshire (Near Stonehenge) in the United Kingdom. I am a sophomore in college (2nd year at Uni) studying Business Studies at Bournemouth University. This is my second year at camp, the first I was a Hiking and Biking Counselor, this year I will be Music Director for boys and then work in Computers for girls' session. I'm looking forward to another awesome year at camp and can't wait to start the summer season. See you there!

 

 

 

Chris Roll returns to Camp Turk as Arts & Crafts Director for the 2012 season. Chris has served two roles in his previous two summers at Camp Turk. In the summer of 2010 Chris was our Field Director, and last

summer was his first as A&C Director. He earned a bachelors degree in art education from Daemen College, NY, and is currently finishing a masters degree in art education from S.U.N.Y. Buffalo, NY. Chris is an

exhibiting artist and is New York State Certified to teach Art Teacher (k-12). He loves making art and is excited about helping campers to discover the amazing artists in themselves! In addition to Arts & Crafts, Chris is looking forward to playing soccer in the field and trying the new summit express waterslide!

 

 

 

Hallo, my name is Curdin Brugger and I live in Switzerland, Europe, and I知 really looking forward to spending a great summer with you at the Camp! I知 going to be nineteen by the time Camp starts and I will just have graduated from school. I知 going to start studying at University in September 2013.

I知 a very active person. I love playing soccer and basketball. I知 a goalkeeper in my local handball team and I love swimming. In addition, I love any kind of sport activities, really any kind.

I知 a scout since five years and took part in several camps. It will be my pleasure to make your time at Camp unforgettable.

 

Dominic Bolt. I知 a Nineteen year old from London who loves the outdoor lifestyle. I enjoy all sports, especially football and hope to get you all playing as many different sports as often as possible at camp.

 

 

 

 

Hi, my name is Emily Bennett. I went to Camp Turk for four summers and I am so excited to be back! I currently attend the Fashion Institute of Technology and study Fashion Design, Art History and Fashion Studies (basically art history for clothes). This summer you can meet me at field and play the super fun sport lacrosse. I am so excited to meet you all and have the most fun summer yet!

 

 

 

 

 

HEY!  My name is Emily Stewart.  I am 21 years old, and i have been coming to Camp Turk since I was 10!  Crazy I know!  I am currently a student at Westfield State College for Music Performance.  If you haven't already met me I love to sing, and I sing all day long, random song most of which I make up.  However if all of a sudden I was no longer able to sing, I would become a baker as it is another passion of mine.  This summer just like last summer I will be your female head counselor, and I have some great ideas to help make camp even better...If that is at all possible!  Can't wait to see all the old faces at camp this summer and to have the chance to meet and get to know all the new ones!!!

 

Hi everyone!

My Name is Emma and I am 20 years old and all the way from Europe, Sweden. I am really excited to return to Camp Turk this summer for my third year to work as a lifeguard. I am currently in medical school studying my first year and I am loving every second of it.

My favourite area of camp is the waterfront with all the fun activities and I hope you will all spend alot of time there this summer. I can not wait to meet all of you , it is going to be a great summer!

 

 

Hi! I知 Katie, I知 19 and I知 studying History at the School of Oriental and African Studies, in London, England, and that痴 also the city I was born and brought up in! Although I知 studying History, I think I could safely say that Music is my passion and I知 delighted to be working on the Music Team this year at Camp Turk. I play the piano, flute, saxophone, recorder and I sing, and I知 really looking forward to getting Campers as excited as me about Music

 

Hi, I知 Katy Muller and I値l be returning to Camp Turk as the Computer Director for Summer 2012! I am a junior at the University at Albany studying Marketing and Information Technology Management and I am Vice President for Public Relations in my fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi. I知 currently interning in Saratoga with a position in Marketing, Fundraising and PR, and I love to travel and learn languages whenever I have a free minute. I love everything about camp and cannot wait to spend another sunny, beautiful summer with everyone!

 

Lane Fayssoux is a junior at Western Carolina University, a small school in the mountains of North Carolina. He is studying graphic design. He spends most of his time drawing, painting or playing the ukulele

 

 

 

 

Hi again! My name is Lisa Palmieri and I am coming back to camp for my third summer to work on the waterfront.  This will be my second summer as the waterfront director and we have a lot of new fun things planned! When I am not at camp I am a substitute teacher and an athletic trainer for area high schools. I have been on swim teams since I can remember, and I was lucky to coach my college swim team after I graduated, while I was completing my masters. I love swimming in the lake and helping others have enjoyable experiences in the water as well.   I can稚 wait to get back to camp for another great summer by the lake.

My name is Nikki Whisnant, I知 from Catawba, North Carolina and I知 18. I will be attending UNC-Pembroke starting in August majoring in nursing. I love being outside, traveling, swimming, having a good time and laughing. This will be my first summer at camp Turk. I will be a counselor as well as a lifeguard. I知 looking forward to a fun summer!
